Since its inception in 1978, the Vanderbilt Executive MBA has remained one of the world’s premier, full 60-credit MBA options for busy managers and executives.
The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management has remained committed to delivering a comprehensive MBA degree program for executives—not diluting the requirements for managers and executives, but rather by strengthening them. The program is specifically designed to provide the critical problem-solving, strategic thinking skills and cross-functional decision-making skills needed by mid- to senior-level executives to orchestrate implementation throughout their organizations in today’s dynamic business environment.
Meeting on alternate Fridays and Saturdays over 21 months, the program is tailored to the schedules of professionals seeking to advance their careers without interrupting their career momentum. The return on investment in the Vanderbilt Executive MBA Program is immediate, as practical, proven business skills and tools can be applied to your job almost immediately—and that others in your organization will notice.
Vanderbilt Executive MBA students and alumni will also tell you that the small-group dynamics in a collaborative atmosphere—the invaluable interaction among peers and world-class faculty with a diversity of backgrounds and viewpoints—make all the difference between “knowing” and “understanding.” The program prepares you to function effectively as part of a team and exposes you to global viewpoints, solutions and perspectives different from your own.
Nancy Abbott
Vanderbilt Executive MBA 1991
Vice President, Human Resources GE Commercial Finance Stamford, Connecticut
The program prepared me to transfer to new functions [from technical roles to people roles] by broadening my skills in areas where I had gaps and broadening my perspective in general. I also built confidence that I could take on tough, new challenges and succeed. The Executive MBA was a good investment for my company and a great one for me.
Michael Bowling
Vanderbilt Executive MBA 1997
Vice President, Entertainment Strategy, AT&T, San Antonio, Texas
The broader skills and much deeper global perspective that I gained from the Vanderbilt Executive MBA experience enabled me to earn a position as Chief Marketing Officer for wireless operation in Peru. That experience, in turn, helped me to advance within the company, where I was most recently chosen to lead entertainment strategies across AT&T’s mobile, broadband and television platforms.
If you have the desire to elevate their business to a higher degree, we encourage you to discover this place and, from it, shape your world.
