EMBA Curriculum

Pitfalls to Avoid

A Two-year Highly Structured and Intensive Curriculum

The Executive MBA curriculum closely resembles that of the traditional MBA, particularly in Year I. Core classes in Year II may include advanced levels of finance, management, and accounting while also introduce classes more characteristic to the program's concentration or theme. Executive subjects include global management, International Negotiations, executive communications, and corporate leadership. See a sample EMBA curriculum.

“I have never worked so hard in my entire life. Our classes were intense. I must have spent an additional 40 hours preparing for the accounting final. I worked my tail off in business school. But I loved it.”

“I evaluated both the part time and full time programs as well as different Executive MBA programs. Overall, the EMBA presented the most advantageous opportunity in that I could augment my work with what I knew I needed to further my career. I began questioning business practices, principles, and desired to return to school. These past two years have been an incredible learning experience that I would recommend to anyone going back for the MBA to consider the Executive MBA.”

James Cecere, Duke University, VP of JP Morgan Chase
